In order to successfully lose, and maintain weight lost, you have to make permanent changes to the way you eat on a daily basis. This does not have to mean a major, and drastic, change. It can be as simple as including certain foods in your eating on a regular basis. Here is a list of healthy foods to lose weight. Of course this is not everything. But they are what many different experts in the diet, and health industry, agree are some of the top choices.

A University of Tokyo study showed that women who drank the recommended 8 eight ounces per day had lower body mass indexes and smaller waistlines.Also… You Have To Stop Drinking Sodas! They are nothing but chemicals and sugar.

The protein in the eggs are more filling which curbs hunger.

They found that their levels of the hormone, which may work to keep food in your stomach longer, were twice as high after a meal containing beans than after a low-fiber meal. In addition, there’s evidence that beans keep blood sugar on an even level which also puts off hunger longer.

The protein and healthy fats in nuts help make them a good choice for weight loss. But, not all nuts are created equal. Choose the most nutritious nuts to include in meals and to snack on. But it’s important to keep in mind that it is not the meat, it’s all the saturated fat. Which can be eliminated by choosing lean cuts of beef, chicken, pork, etc. A study by Men’s Health showed that when you eat, your body has to burn calories in order to digest the food. Animal proteins increase thermogenesis more than vegetable proteins, so the best calorie-burning foods are lean meats. You’re burning the most calories through digestion.

Even though unlimited servings were readily available to them. Researchers say that volume of a salad makes you feel full. Of course you have to be conscious of what you put in the salad. And the dressing you put on it.

But of course, doing so would further increase weight-loss. In addition, a number of other studies show that when people substituted  olive oil for saturated fat, they ate less food. And either maintained their weight, or lost, weight.







The Bottom Line: After learning more about foods, in general, I now consider the word diet to be similar to other 4 letter words we shouldn’t use. If you want to learn how to eat right and lose weight… and maintain it… then you have to completely eliminate the concept of a diet. Forget about something that you go on… and then later go off.  You have to stop dieting!

You must make permanent changes to the way you eat… for life! This does not mean placing major restrictions on yourself. It is more a matter of changing your routine eating habits. And including the above list of healthy foods to lose weight will help you get started. The first couple of weeks, may be a challenge. But then it will become your new routine and get much easier.  After a while it won’t take much effort at all… because it will become your new normal.
